Updated: Jun 15

The winner of Book Entertainment’s Best UK Live Streamer award, Miss Holiday Swing, is set to release her debut studio album, ‘Don’t Get Around Much Anymore’, inspired by songs requested on her live stream performances.

Vintage songstress, Miss Holiday Swing, has today announced the release of her debut studio album, Don’t Get Around Much Anymore, which will be available to download and stream across all mainstream digital platforms from 28th May 2021. The album will also be available to buy on CD via Holiday’s website.

The Kent-based jazz singer – whose real name is Holly Chambers - captured the hearts of the nation throughout lockdown with her regular lockdown live stream – Tea, Chat, and Songs – and recorded her debut studio album, inspired by song requests from her live stream audience. As a result, there is a unique story as to how each song made it onto the album.

“This album has been a long time coming,” commented Miss Swing. “The pandemic has been incredibly challenging for everyone in creative roles, but I have found gratitude for the break in my gigging schedule to have finally had time to take the next step in my music career.”

Holly continued, “The album features a fabulous backing band, who use their talents to bring a unique sound to well-known jazz numbers. Don’t Get Around Much Anymore is a nod to the strange year we’ve all been forced to face, and I hope the album brings a smile and warm feeling of nostalgia to anyone who listens.”

Don’t Get Around Much Anymore was recorded in Summer 2020 when lockdown restriction had lifted. The album was recorded and mixed by Kent-based producer, Lenny Bunn of Lenny's Studio's in Westernhanger, and mastered by Jon Astley who is best known for his work with Norah Jones & Van Morrison and is a regular engineer at the infamous Abbey Road Studios.

The official music video was filmed by Jack Parry of JP Video Kent. You are invited to watch it here.
